Its mandate encompasses supporting core contributors, spearheading growth strategies, fostering community development, and awarding grants.

Its responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Core Contributors: The foundation supports the developers and teams that contribute to the core functionality and maintenance of the mLayer network.

  • Spearheading Growth Strategies: It devices and implements strategies for the growth and wider adoption of the mLayer network.

  • Fostering Community Development: The foundation engages in activities and programs aimed at building a strong and active community around the mLayer project.

  • Awarding Grants: It provides financial support in the form of grants to projects and individuals that contribute to the mLayer ecosystem, encouraging innovation and development within the network.

mLayer DAO

Working with the mLayer Foundation, the mLayer DAO stands as the central regulatory entity for the rest of mLayer ecosystem. It oversees membership, contributions, and allocates community grants within the mLayer framework. With a fundamental mission to amplify engagement in crafting a decentralization, the DAO aims to enhance the mLayer landscape.

mLayer Advocates

mLayer Advocates serves as a gateway to the concept of decentralization for individuals worldwide through a community-driven initiative. By becoming an Advocate, members not only gain insights but also contribute significantly to the mLayer community and its vision. Advocates are automatically assigned membership into the mLayer DAO.

Developers

mLayer is an open project and depends largely on the open source developer community globally. Developers are need to

  • Facilitate the advancement of the various core products of mLayer ie. messaging server (Nomess), validator node (Goml), and developer sdks

  • Relayers - create relay middlewares for the mLayer network
